Water Filled Electric Radiators

water filled electric radiator

No plumbing is required to operate a water filled electric radiator heater. They are lightweight, environmentally friendly and virtually maintenance free. Many individuals who heat their homes and businesses with this type of radiator report paying 40 to 50 percent less for electricity than they did when they used an alternative heat source. That is quite a savings!

In fact, recent studies show that when a home is well-insulated, electricity is typically more efficient than gas. Unlike some other heaters, these units don’t run in cycles consisting of so many minutes on and then so many minutes off. They stay on until the desired room temperature is reached, and then turn off and turn on again briefly when the air temperature drops. This actually saves money in the long run. Virtually all of the electricity used to operate a radiator heater is turned into heat.

This type of radiator casing has been used successfully for more than 40 years because it does a good job maximizing heat output. In addition, a small pump inside the case circulates the heated water very quickly. Together, these two things are responsible for the air temperature reaching 65 to 70 degrees in just a matter of minutes.

The radiator is simple to install. (The majority of models simply attach to wall brackets.) Just plug it in and you’re good to go. You’ll enjoy comfortable, healthy heat without the problem of dry air or stuffiness. Because of the ease of installation, this is the perfect heating system for a garage, workshop, or vacation cottage. It’s also portable enough to take down and take with you if you move.

Unfortunately, this type of heating system is not available in a wide range of colors. White is the predominant choice. However, this might change with future models. The good thing about a neutral color such as white, is that it blends in with any color scheme or décor. These heaters are surprisingly compact in size and don’t have bulky knobs or controls to contend with. Most consumers say they are aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Water filled radiators never have to be refilled. They contain a mixture of water, anti-freeze, and a rust inhibitor that helps to keep the liquid flowing freely within the unit. The heaters are guaranteed to be leak-proof and meet construction safety regulations.

The heater can be installed in a bathroom as long as it located out of reaching distance of the bath tub or shower. It needs to be placed in a location where it won’t accidentally get sprayed with water. Many people put them in the garage or another area of the house that needs extra heat. Some radiators can be operated with a remote control. In this case, you can easily adjust the room temperature safely while you are relaxing in a hot bath. Depending on the range of the remote, you might be able to adjust the temperature from another room as well.

When considering heating options, water filled electric radiators should not be overlooked. Not only are they affordable, they are safe, simple to operate, and gentle on the environment. What could be better than that?
